In-home decor, fashion, and weddings, the bohemian-inspired design is a leading trend for 2019. While generally laid back and little rustic, bohemian style weddings have a real romantic feel. Coming together with friends and family in a relaxed atmosphere to create memories is key.
The laid back style doesn’t have to mean scruffy or simple though, bohemian weddings can be really charming. Here are a few ideas:
VENUES: Think bell tents or rustic barns
DECOR: Include fairy lights, lots of greenery, macrame wall hangings, dried pampas grass, and handmade wedding stationery in a simple colour palette
WEDDING CAKE: Think three tiers at the most, with a slightly unfinished look with the cake exposed through the icing on the edges, finished with delicate foliage garlands – a little goes a long way in this case
DRESS: Grecian style, flowing with just a little lace – nothing too formal

Greenery is being used increasingly in wedding decor, making wedding florists and floral artists high in demand. Take inspiration from nature for this wedding theme, which should have a rustic feel and celebrate natural and organic form.
This wedding scheme is perfect if you enjoy getting out in the countryside and exploring nature. Foliage and simple florals will be the focal point of your decor, with the details perfectly.
VENUES: Traditional country hotels work well. Choose a historical building that is set in beautiful gardens, ideally with lots of glass to allow the landscape to become part of your theme
DECOR: Let foliage garlands and displays take centre stage. Line long tables with a white runner, topped with a foliage garland that runs the full length, with the odd oversized flower in soft palettes woven in. Compliment with hand-illustrated wedding stationery, brass cutlery, and wedding bouquets made from the same foliage and blooms as your table garland
WEDDING CAKE: Your wedding cake presents another fantastic opportunity to introduce more foliage and flowers. Multiple tiers are a must, with garlands and flowers cascading down one side, or wrapped around and pouring onto the table
DRESS: A pretty fitted lace style would work perfectly- understated, simple and chic.

Art Deco details are springing up in weddings for 2019, but with a 21st-century update. Known as the roaring ‘20s, the art deco period was all about enjoying yourself and enjoying a glamorous lifestyle. Is glitzy what you had in mind? Why not consider drawing inspiration from the art deco period, to create a modern yet sophisticated scheme.
Elegant and glamorous, an Art Deco scheme isn’t all about spending huge amounts of money. For 2019 the art deco theme is all about taking a pinch of these elements, to create an eclectic and modern style…
VENUES: Search for buildings built in the 1920s that encompass genuine art deco style, or try an industrial building with high ceilings and large open spaces
DECOR: Geometrics and gold are both essential to create a modern-day art deco wedding theme. Think geometric patterns in gold on wedding stationery, gold candelabra on tabletops complemented with white floral centerpieces, and black table runners
WEDDING CAKE: Graphic designs in gold and black on a base of white icing works perfectly. Cakes needn’t be over the top, but the design should be sharp and create a subtle statement.
DRESS: A flapper style is a must, with a dropped waist and delicate beading or sequin details.
