Wedding Cake Disaster?

Worried about your wedding cake?
Organising a wedding is renowned for being stressful, and we know that one of the things which has the potential to cause disaster is the cake. Your dream was of an elegant spire with cascading flowers… but the flowers have fallen off, the cake is wonky or worse still one of the layers has had to be missed out because it rolled on to the floor of the car and was ruined/a child has been ‘testing’ it and it is full of holes/the dog has eaten half of it. Disaster!
Worry no more
Mama Cakes wants you to appreciate your perfect cake in pristine condition. We therefore make sure that anything cake-related is our responsibility. We don’t just make and decorate the cake, but we deliver and assemble it. If you have ordered wedding favours made of cake or an entire dessert table, the same holds true: we will deliver and arrange everything to ensure that you suffer no extra stress.
Tables, flowers, stands
We don’t just put your cake on a table with a white tablecloth. We can create customised tables and stands themed to match your cake, and are passionate about making the entire placement look as beautiful as possible. If you like we can work with your florist to create an arrangement combining cake with real flowers. For more inspiration check out our Instagram page
TLC
We want you to feel looked after and relaxed on your special day. Once you’ve made the booking – which could be as much as two years ahead, especially for the peak wedding season in the summer – we will then arrange a meeting in order to go through all the options in terms of size, taste, theme and colours. This will also enable us to quote you a budget price.
Approximately 4 to 6 weeks before the wedding we will have a second meeting to discuss any worries you may have and also any possible changes. Mama Cakes aims to make sure that you are going to get exactly what you requested and are expecting for your wedding cake. Then, when the big day arrives, we will carefully pack and deliver the wedding cake and any other items you have ordered from us to the venue* and assemble them.
Grand finale
Vows have been exchanged and the formal ceremony is over: you are man and wife. Photographs have been taken and the guests have had at least one glass of sparkling wine or champagne each. It’s time for the wedding breakfast. The doors open on to a dining room… the beautifully laid tables, the delicate wedding favours, the pretty floral arrangements… and there, stunning in its glory, the wedding cake itself, perhaps surrounded by the most appetising desserts. Not only do your guests gasp with delight at the sight that meets their eyes, but so do you. All you have to do, later, is to cut the cake. So: relax and enjoy your special day.
